
These photo were taken in the year 1920. The town is celebrating 100 years settlement. If you could read the banner, you'd see 1820-1920. The Bolton Block in the center of the photo was built in the 1890's and burned sometime in the '30's. It was rebuilt with sort of the same architectural flavor as the original but without the turret. It again burned in 1943. The last fire also took the life of Billy Bolton who was part owner of the building and whose father had built it. Richard Graves' grandfather, who was County Medical Examiner at the time, was on hand to examine the remains
