| The digitization, storage, and retrieval of physical media has become commonplace. Most people access these systems on a daily basis without thinking of what went into creating the environment. This server contains two such systems, one for photos and the other for sound files. Coppermine Photo Gallery is a highly configurable method of storing photos and controlling their viewing. Security allows for limited guest viewing while registered users have many more rights. There are thumbnail views, medium views and full sized views, which prevent or allow viewers to print quality images

Ampache is a server designed to stream audio files. The user downloads a playlist to a media player, then the player retrieves the music. The audio files are not downloaded, but are listened to much as one would listen to a radio.
