The dam east of State Street Bridge looks like it was thrown together. Notice the footbridge between the dam and the bridge. The new dam is being constructed.

This view in 1968 looks towards the East bank of the Presque Isle Stream. The building to the left is the old Elks Club building.

This bridge was replaced in 1948. This bridge was built in 2002. There are a lot of bushes and trees along the riverbank.

This Presque Isle Historical Society photo is from the FP Stevens collection. The sign reads "ALL PERSONS FOBIDDEN THROWING RUBBISH OR GARBAGE OFF THE BRIDGE.. PER ORDER BOARD HEALTH" River is clear and clean, looking from west. At one time there was a strong odor from upriver starch factory

The potato houses on the East side of the river are torn down, but some foundations still exist. Unable to see the Aroostook River from same location perhaps because of the large amount of landfill used.
